Tune in to the 6:00 pm local news broadcast of NBC’s Bay Area affiliate KNTV (Channel 3 cable, channel 11 antenna) to catch an interview filmed with co-producers & co-directors Ben Wang and Mike Cheng. For those outside the Bay Area we’ll try to have a video clip of the segment posted to this site soon after it airs.

We’re one day away from our first screening at the 2010 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival! If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch download this free app for a handy schedule of festival screenings. And if you take a closer look at the screen shots of the app provided in iTunes you’ll notice one shot in particular featuring a film that’s pretty close to our hearts:

Oakland Local currently has a feature story about the film posted on its site.  Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet, then come back to and read more articles, reviews, and previews on AOKI posted in our Film Coverage section.

AOKI co-director & co-producer Mike Cheng will be a live guest on Friday 3/12 for the podcast Wanda’s Picks Radio.  Listeners can tune in to the live broadcast either by visiting her site on Blog Talk Radio or calling 347-237-4610. Wanda’s Picks Radio will air from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. If you miss the live broadcast you can visit her site to download an mp3 archive of the episode. Wanda Sabir has been covering community events for a long time and we’re excited to have her support of the film. You can check out more of Wanda’s work at her site Wanda’s Picks as well as her work that’s been published for the SF Bayview.

AOKI has been accepted into the 15th annual Chicago Asian American Showcase at The Gene Siskel Film Center where it will be screened on April 8th, as well as the 26th annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival presented by Visual Communications.
